My Child Was Just Diagnosed with Autism. Now What?

Take a deep breath, you are not alone. You are about to enter a world full of wonderful warriors. A world where all you have to do is reach out your hand and someone will be right next to you. Follow the steps below, help is on its way.

Reach out

Join the thousands of social media groups out there. I typically advise parents to join a local group, therefore you can have community involvement. You will also have support, a group of parents going through the same issues. You can get answers, references, resources, reviews, etc.

Make a decision

Find what works best for your child, what service will they benefit from the most. ABA therapy, Public school, Speech and Occupational therapy? Do your homework and remember the most important thing is consistency.

Involvement

Be involved – attend every parent training, ARD meetings and additional sessions. Remember you are part of the village your child needs to thrive. Always remember your child will thrive. You have to believe it because it is the truth.

Free consultation

At Meem Behavior we understand how difficult it is to go through each step and we have a dedicated team that will help you through every step. Don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re more than willing to help.
